The Laryngoscope in Medicine
نویسنده
چکیده
My object in writing the following short paper is, not to attempt to say anything new or original, but rather to repeat what has been often and well said, and once more to show how great is the help given, by an accurate use of the laryngoscope, in the diagnosis and treatment of otherwise obscure and untreatable cases. The first man who appears to have conceived it possible to illuminate the various canals of the body, and amongst them the throat, was Bozzini of Frankfort, who, in 1807, published a work on the subject. In 1827, Senn of Geneva tried to see the glottis of a little girl with mirrors, but failed on account of the small size of his instrument.

Evaluation of the success rate and quality of teaching of tracheal intubation to medical students by using video laryngoscope
Background: Training of airway management and tracheal intubation skill in emergencies for resuscitation of patients are basic skills for medical students. However, the success rate of beginners in this skill is low. Video laryngoscopes are new devices that can increase the success of endotracheal intubation training. Methods: This clinical trial was conducted with 30 medical students who came...

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the incidence of sore throat and hemodynamic Changes in Macintosh, Glidescope Laryngoscope and laryngeal mask airway techniques in elective surg...
متن کاملEvaluation of intra ocular pressure and hemodynamic change following intubation with Maccoy, Macintosh and Video laryngoscope
Background & Objective: The induction of anesthesia, laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation can be associated with adverse hemodynamic response and increased intraocular pressure. The aim of this study was to evaluate intraocular pressure and hemodynamic changes after laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation with three methods of laryngoscopy (Macintosh, Maccoy and Video laryngoscope).Materia...
